Customer Appreciation Day: Not Awkward
I always feel weird going to those customer appreciation days that different businesses have. It's like I want to participate, but I don't want to take the companies money (or things they spent money on) and then leave. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks about it. I think about what they spent on all their food, displays, etc. I hope they're getting a good turn out and that they will get a good return on their investment.
Well today, I walked into my bank and found out it was customer appreciation day. (Thinking about it, maybe I missed it, but there weren't any announcements that today was the day. Anyway, instead of just sitting back and hoping people got involved, the manager came around and asked people trivia questions. I'm not good at trivia, but she had a couple categories I could choose from. I went with Disney. The question was what is the girl's name in Beauty and the Beast. - Belle -
So why am I even writing about this? The trivia helped break the ice. It got me involved and made my mind think "These people at my bank really care about me." Now I'm sure they do, but it was the fact that the manager helped me get involved that I felt appreciated. If she hadn't done that, I would have walked in and then walked out with out experiencing the happy feeling they wanted me to feel.
Tell me what you think. Have you had any experiences with customer appreciation days?
