Ideation - The Idea Process

I've wondered about the way that ideas come about and how to have better ideas. Here is a great video that works through how ideas grow and develop.

There were things that I really thought were important in the video. The first is that ideas sometimes need to incubate. Now this might be because the timing isn't right or the idea hasn't been developed enough. Second, some great ideas sometimes come about because some one has a hunch. I know that I've thought of things and then a couple months or years later I find some one that is doing what I thought of. The last thing that I thought was interesting is that ideas may need a catalyst, or in other words a second persons thinking to become a complete idea.
